Singapore Math Curriculum Options

  1. Primary US –  the original version of Singapore Math. Designed to be used in the United States and uses U.S. measurements and currency, the content of Primary US is almost identical to the original Singapore Math curriculum. Also, it has been adapted to make it more accessible to U.S. students.  There is a Common Core version that is more closely aligned with United States standards and sequence.
  2. Primary 2022  – the newest version of Singapore Math. It is designed to align most closely with the Common Core State Standards. The content is entirely new, and marks a major departure from previous versions of Singapore Math in both content and organization of the topics. Also, it has additional STEM activities and printables.
  3. Math in Focus – revised for US Audiences with input from US consultants. The curriculum emphasizes problem-solving, conceptual understanding, and procedural fluency. It uses a concrete-pictorial-abstract learning progression to help students develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
  4. Dimensions – written by US authors with extensive Singapore math experience. It is a rigorous curriculum for kindergarten through eighth grade that includes challenging questions.
  5. Hello Math! – written by a US author and is great for homeschooling, intervention, or after-schooling. It follows the pacing of the original Primary US for grades 1-5 and then adapts the Math in Focus topic order for grade 6. It is also very friendly for homeschoolers, with appealing colors, lots of writing space, fun activities, and a teacher’s guide. Check out the first and second-grade Hello Math! Programs for free.
