Some of my students have just finished Spring Break and I’m already talking to my students about the end of the year.
They know that they have end-of-the-year tests, and it seems like the end of the year is just around the corner.
The trouble is that many students don’t realize that they should start preparing as soon as possible.
Here are 4 tips that can help students do their best on their tests.
First, they should start gathering their notes, homework, quiz material, and test material together. Mark up questions that they don’t remember how to do and ones that they missed.
Second, they need to find out what will be on the tests. That way they know what to study.
Third, ask around and find out when the tests will be so they can plan ahead.
Lastly, they can mark out what they will study each week. Start by identifying their strongest and weakest areas – and make sure to give more time to review topics that are their weakest. This way, they won’t be so stressed and they can pace out their studying (not cramming!).
Then, they’ll be able to cover all the test material and retain more, and do their best on the test.
To help you out, we created a simple guide for getting them prepared for their end-of-the-year tests based on templates that we use with our students. Get it below. We’d love to know if it helped your students out.
