Not sure where to start with Singapore Math? Take a Singapore math placement test to find out.
Here are some short online tests that can give you a better idea of your child’s knowledge. Have them take these short, 24-question exams so they’ll be more confident when it’s their turn for longer assessments!
First, start with one level below their grade level. If they are in 2nd grade, start with 1A. Students will enjoy showing what they know, so it’s better to start at a lower level and work up.
Then, Have them write out their work on paper and then submit their answers. Time them and see how long they can work on the problems. Are they moving at a steady pace? Or do they rush through some questions and slow down at others?
Once your student completes the Singapore math placement test, you will receive the results and a breakdown of the topics your student needs to work on.
